Bugs that bug.

I’ve not been feeling well for the past few days.  So poorly that I couldn’t bring myself to write anything, hence the no posts.  Hopefully this little bug has run it’s course, and will now leave me alone.

I’m working up a new story for Magpie Tails, hopefully it will be posted Monday evening on Ruminations.  There’s also a little something that has been plaguing my thoughts.  Where this stuff comes from, I seldom know, but will take full advantage of it as I am able.  In a little while, I should have it posted on Ruminations.

I’ll have to spend some time this weekend working my way around to visit with everyone.  That never ending list just keeps getting larger and larger.  I must also fit the chores in there somewhere.   My grass is in dire need of mowing, UGH.

Tempting Connections

Misty morning in aqua mode

I’m tired tonight, and sore form god only knows what.  Yet for some reason, I have this picture in my head I can’t seem to vanquish.  It’s a story, smoky and vague so far, but slowly clearing to morning bright.  I’m attempting to get that picture scratched out on screen.  The words are slow in coming, yet I feel the connection is clearing.

I think maybe, I just need to find the right line, like a switchboard operator in one of those old television shows.  I pull one line, and connect it with a slot, then test to see if anyone is there.  Sooner or later, I’ll make the right connection!

Magpie Tales; Do Tell

I’ve been having a lot of fun writing stories, inspired by a simple picture.  It is very challenging, and pretty rewarding too.  It’s a simple concept, you visit the web site, Magpie Tales, and see what has been posted as a prompt.  Then all you have to do is dream up a story, poem, or vignette to go along with the picture.   Surprisingly enough, it’s not always so easy.

What I find most intriguing, is the astonishingly varied reactions people have to the same picture.  I just spent the last three hours, skipping through the 40 plus entries for this week.  They are creative, inspiration, sad, and so very diverse.  It then becomes a challenge to create a valuable comment worth the price of admission, 40 times, each different than the last.

I found this weeks challenge educational in more ways than one.
