Lazy Saturday, with promise of rest.

I’m going to try to take it easy today.  Get some of that rest everybody is always telling me about.  I picked up a few books at Border’s yesterday, and I think I may just sit back and enjoy one or two.  Maybe grill a steak and some potatoes.   After this last week at work, I am in need of a break.  The hard part will be staying away from the computer for any kind of time.

The Collaborative Writers Corner is attracting more writers, and some very good ones.  I’ve been trying to figure out a little bit of the navigation problems that will be involved once we get a solid collection of stories going.  I Have a few ideas, but I’m going to do some research later to see if what I’m think matches up with other web sites.  I’m starting to think that my selection of template may have been the wrong one. A magazine layout would probably work better, but we’ll see how things go.

For now, I’m off to grab a Fat Tire, and a snack!

Don’t forget Friday’s Fantasy is tonight.

I’ll be posting part 3 of Friday’s Fantasy tonight.  It’s played itself out in my head, I now have to put it down to paper.  This story has been getting more and more interesting as I go along.  Tonight you’ll be learning more about Tabitha and Tirashar.  Be sure to come by to enjoy Darfrain’s thoughts, and some history behind his involvement.  Fridays Fantasy on Ruminations of a Small Town Mountain Boy.

Another New Writer For The Collaborative Writers Corner

We have another new member who has joined our lonely little corner of the blogosphere, The Collaborative Writers Corner.  Tashabud of The Big Picture has decided to join us.  She is a romance fanatic, and is in the process of writing a blog novel over there at The Big Picture.  I hope she enjoys the new blog, and finds some stories she may wish to contribute to.

Searching for Collaborative Writing?

I have been playing on some interesting Forums and community boards.  There are many a site dedicated to writing, and collaborative writing.  Many are fun and interesting, but not really what I’m looking for.

It got me to thinking.  Perhaps I could start a new blog, I know, I know, I’m really not crazy, just bear with me. This would be a site dedicated to writing.  I would hope for a group of writers to be interested in taking part.  The simple thought is a series of blog novels, separated by category or tags. Multiple genre’s could be experimented with.  Writers would be invited, and would add their own unique and intrinsic vision to the stories they chose.  We could end up with a romance writer adding some spice to a fantasy novel.  Perhaps a Science Fiction writer adding a little technology to a romance novel.

Just imagine the interesting and lively results we could have. The prospects are limitless, and would be so much fun. This would not be a forum, but rather a blog that each writer would have permission to add chapters to, creating an involved and spirited read.   There would be biographies of each writer, and introductions of course, complete with links to the writers own blog.  If anyone is interested, let me know and I’ll start the process.

I have set up the structure, now we just need some writers who would be interested in joining the fun.  Check out the site The Collaborative Writers Corner, and tell me what you think.  If you want to take part and contribute, just send an email to with links to your sites, or any questions you might have.
