These hot summer days!!!! What is a poor mountain boy like me supposed to do? I can fairly say my spirit is not made for these southern heat waves. I keep laughing every time someone talks about the cool front that came through. The temperature got down in the 90’s for just a few days. Yes, cooler than it has been, but a “cool front” I don’t think so.
My system is just not geared for temperatures above 80. I suppose it’s my growing up above 10,000 feet where it never gets hot. I’ll be looking forward to the cool of winter, and dreaming of snow. We may not see any snow down here, but that won’t keep me from dreaming of it.

Oh yeah, I'm with yah! We've had a few bouts with triple digit temps already this summer and I just HATE those periods.
Someday, someday, I'll convince the old dawg to give mountain living a try.
Hugs
I certainly hope you have better luck with the Dawg than I did with Blinda. Even though she dispises the heat, I think she dispises the mountains more. 8-)
He loves the mountains, that isn't the issue. Its just the cold he can't deal with. I swear I've never met anyone that falls headlong into hypothermia as fast as he does! Poor Dawgie.
Summertime mountains, excellent. Springtime or Autumn mountains . . . fine if warm, miserable if cold. Winter . . . fuhgetaboutit!
I think my own favorite mountain scapes are winter ones . . . ah well, that's the luck of the Spousal Dice.
LOL, I know all about the luck of the spousal dice. Blinds's whole problem is the elevation. She gets migrains all the time, and the elevation made them nearly unbearable. She doesn't get them as often down here either.
I would have to agree, my favorite are the winter scapes, or maybe the spring one's, when we would get those fabulous three and four foot snows onvernight. 8-)
